Distribution Company

We have chosen Vertigo Films as the distributor for our film. They are a British distribution and production company founded in 2002 which since its inception has produced 28 films and distributed 35 more, including thrillers like Pusher, Retreat and London To Brighton.

We have chosen this distribution because we feel like they reflect the British independent identity of our film due to the fact that they are a British company and produce films themselves so reflect a British identity very strongly. The fact that they distribute thrillers means they are suited to the genre of our own film and means it is likely that they will share our target audience, young people. Vertigo Films pride themselves on bringing new talent into the film industry such as up and coming directors which is perfect for the low-budget, independent film we are producing.

25 Word Pitch

Our film will be a psychological thriller; we have chosen this sub-genre of thriller because we think it will be the most achievable and most able to be executed professionally given the limited budget and resources we have available to us.
We have decided to make the film's storyline about a young female protagonist aged 16/17 who witnesses the death of her sister when she falls in front of a train and as a result suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder so cannot remember anything about the incident. Throughout the film she is being questioned by a detective about what happened and slowly her memory is triggered by small details, like a picture of the train station she dies at, so she starts to uncover the truth about her sister's death and eventually finds out that she was actually the one responsible.
